Call for open participation to find innovative drought solutions
Nowdays, countries around the world are facing extreme and prolonged drought due to climate change. The World Drought Challenge (WDCH)
is an international contest to promote drought solutions and cases of overcoming drought. The purpose is to collect and showcase innovative ideas and know-hows towards solving drought issues around world.
ㅇ Subject : Measures to Prevent Future Extreme Drought Due to Climate Change
ㅇ Submission Period : ’19. 3. 4 ~ 4. 7
ㅇ Participants : Anyone (as an individual or on behalf of an organization) who is interested in drought is welcome to participate.
ㅇ Application : The application must be submitted via E-mail (mh0923@kwater.or.kr)
ㅇ Awards : 1stPrize:2,000,000KRW(Apprx.1700USD), 2nd Prize:1,000,000KRW(Apprx.880USD), 3rh Prize:500,000KRW (Apprx.440USD)
* The Award ceremony will be held on May 24 during the closing ceremony of the 2019 International Drought Forum and the winners
will be presented with a cash prize and certificate.
* The award titles and amount of prize money are subject to change.
